I’m a researcher and entrepreneur focussed on how context, memory, and spatial understanding shape the next generation of intelligent systems.
I believe the next decade will be defined by how humans and computers share context, and I’m exploring new protocols and systems that help AI better understand human experience while giving people agency over their data and memory.
In 2016, I co-founded Scape Technologies, where our goal was to build a collaborative 3D model of the world that enabled devices to understand where they are and what’s around them.
After Scape was acquired by Facebook in 2020, I continued this mission within Meta Reality Labs Research, where I helped the team build ‘LiveMaps’, the foundation for a shared, and dynamically-updating predictive model of the physical world. Through research incubation with Project Aria and tech-transfer projects like SceneScript, we pushed the boundaries of digital twin research, discovering how to combine real and simulated data to accelerate breakthroughs in Spatial AI, and harness longitudinal real-world context for delivering radically-personal computing experiences.
In 2024, my work at Meta drove me and my family to relocate to Seattle, to spend time closer to Reality Labs Research HQ. While there, I had the chance to realize a career ambition in delivering a “Mother of All Demos” to Mark Zuckerberg and the board. The demo will stand among the defining breakthroughs in human-computer interaction and I’m excited to watch how the company will execute over the next decade.
Now back in London, I’m focused on building the next wave of context-driven AI systems and connecting with others who share that vision.
